Joshua Zeichner, MD, FAAD, is the
Director of Cosmetic and Clinical
Research in Dermatology and an
Assistant Professor of Dermatology at
Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York
Active in clinical research, Dr. Zeichner
has broad medical and cosmetic
interests. His medical focus is the
treatment of acne and rosacea, as well
as total body skin examinations for skin
cancer and atypical moles. Dr.
Zeichner recognizes that cosmetic
issues often remain after medical
|skin diseases resolve. In addition, many patients are concerned with aging
skin, independent of medical skin issues. He strives to treat his patients'
skin as a whole, addressing both the medical and cosmetic at the same
time. Through patient education, prescription medications, non-invasive
in-office procedures, and proper over-the-counter product recommendations,
Dr. Zeichner tailors his treatment plans to the specific needs of his patients,
as no two patients are the same.
Dr. Zeichner is frequently called on by the national media as a skin care
expert. His quotes can be found in major national magazines including
Allure, InStyle, Marie Claire, Real Simple, Women's Health, Health, and
Martha Stewart Living. In addition, his expertise has been featured in
national newspapers, such as the The New York Times.
Dr. Zeichner's research has been published in the top peer-reviewed
Dermatology journals, and he frequently lectures to international audiences.
He serves as an investigator, advisory board member, consultant, and
speaker for various pharmaceutical companies, and his professional
affiliations include the American Academy of Dermatology, American Acne &
Rosacea Society, and the Skin Cancer Foundation.
